There are various differences between our budget dedicated servers and our regular ones. These range from non-standard hardware and older equipment to repurposed servers and custom builds.

Because these servers are pre-built, and may use older or non-standard hardware, customisations and upgrades may be limited.

In some cases, it may take longer to source replacement hardware and in other cases the hardware may be slower or of a previous generation, which makes these servers a lot cheaper than our standard servers.
